The Vessel History

This former Yugoslav Navy patrol boat was built in 1952. In the early 1980s, vessels of this type were decommissioned and removed from active service. 

Specifications:

  • Length: 40 m
  • Width: 6.3 m

The patrol boat was later used as a target during military exercises. After being hit by a missile, it sank in the Žanjic Bay.

🤿 Diving Prerequisites

  • To dive the Patrol Boat wreck, you should be:
  • Certified as an Open Water Diver (OWD)

🌊 Dive Site Description 

  • The wreck lies on a sandy bottom and is in one piece, relatively well preserved.
  • As the site is not marked, a reference line must be set for both descent and ascent. Wreck penetration is possible, but only for certified Wreck Specialty divers.
  • A safety stop at 5 metres is mandatory.

  • Average dive time: ~35 minutes
  • Currents: generally weak
  • Visibility: 10–25 m
  • Water temperature: 16–23°C
